You may be here because
Your teen may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, withdrawn, irritable, or unlike themselves lately. Maybe school pressure, friendship stress, low mood, or family tension has made things feel harder, and you want support that helps them feel more understood and better able to cope.
How Teen Therapy Can Help
Teen therapy can help adolescents build insight, strengthen coping skills, and navigate challenges with more confidence and support.
Manage anxiety, stress, or low mood
Build coping and emotional regulation skills
Navigate school, friendship, or family stress
Strengthen confidence and self-understanding
Feel more supported and less alone
What Teen Therapy May Look Like
Teen therapy often looks different from therapy for younger children or adults. Sessions may include conversation, reflection, practical coping tools, and support around strong emotions, relationships, identity, school stress, and other challenges that come with adolescence. My approach is tailored to each teen and may incorporate evidence-based therapy, including CBT, in ways that are thoughtful, practical, and collaborative.
Parent Involvement
Parent involvement can still be an important part of teen therapy, while also making room for privacy and trust. Depending on your teen’s age, needs, and goals, I may involve parents in thoughtful ways that support progress at home without losing sight of the therapeutic relationship.
